Story

finpension was initiated in 2015 by Beat Bühlmann. Together with Ivo Blättler, a former colleague at a Swiss private bank, they established a 1e collective foundation. By establishing the foundation, they anticipated a change in the law, which was enacted by the Federal Council on 1 October 2017. 1e solutions, therefore, became attractive due to the change in the law.

In 2018, the offer was expanded to include a affiliated solution in the form of a vested benefits foundation. Under the management of Gaëtan Maraite, a location was established in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. Finally, in 2020, a 3a retirement savings foundation was added, which ideally complements the range of pension offering.

In 2024, finpension received a licence from the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA as an account-holding securities firm. The next important step towards realising finpension’s vision.
