Home Bias

Home bias describes the tendency of investors to invest primarily in companies and assets from their own country instead of diversifying internationally. This is often done out of familiarity, perceived information advantage and psychological reasons. However, this tendency can lead to a lack of diversification and missed global investment opportunities.
