ETF

ETF is short for Exchange Traded Funds. ETFs are listed passive funds which replicate an index, for example, the Swiss Market Index SMI. The naming for this type of fund is not optimal, as of course many actively managed funds are also traded on the exchange. As of 30 September 2019, 1,552 ETFs from 25 providers were listed on the Swiss Exchange.
