Registered benefit scheme

A pension scheme is described as “registered” if it offers the mandatory part of the occupational pension scheme.

“Non-registered” pension schemes are only engaged in the non-mandatory area. They are nevertheless subject to the cantonal supervisory authority. As with vested benefits foundations, they are included on the list of unregistered pension funds.
